BENEFITS OF AERTION
WHY AERATE?
Aeration decreases soil compaction. This allows oxygen, water and nutrients to get down to the roots. This is necessary for plant health and thatch improvement, This process also improves the thatch level, the dead layer of grass that is left over from mowing, by providing oxygen to the microorganisms that break down that thatch layer. Excessive thatch slows growth, encourages turf disease and weakens turf.
*Before we come*
Preparation in important. We ask that you mow the lawn just a little shorter. This allows more air and light to reach seedlings and compensates for inability to cut for a few weeks following service.
We also ask that you water lightly the day or afternoon before arrival. This will allow us to pull better cores.
And lastly, mark all irrigation heads. We can supply marking flags if necessary or even mark them ourselves. Call us 757-572-5414 with any questions.
Overseeding
Over-seeding for a thicker and fuller lawn. We carefully select our seed based on turf trial results. Color and density along with Insect and disease resistance are traits we require for Tidewaters harsh climate. Starting with good seed is paramount in maintaining healty turf!
After Care
Watering in your responsibility. It is the most important part of the process.
Please do your best to water daily. Twice a day if its hot. LIGHT watering only. We are only concerned about the Top of the soil surface. Mother nature usually helps us out
